Just wanted to say...

Hello to my friend Jenna :) Hope you are having a good day.

Today would be a GREAT day to start a blog, before baby #2 comes along.

See you tomorrow at 11:30, I'll be the one stuffing my face with greek french fries and making googly eyes at Elias!

I feel old

Caleb Johnson was my little buddy - I carried him everywhere. Now he's grown up, and plays football, and I can't lift him anymore :) I went to Caleb's eighth grade football game on Monday. He played most of the game and did great!

Looking tough
Linda is too engrossed in the game - she doesn't have time to pose for a picture

Trip to St. Louis

We went to St. Louis this weekend with Donnie and Sherri Patten. We saw two Cubs games, one on Saturday night (the Cubs lost) and one on Sunday afternoon (the Cubs won!). We also took in a few sites around the city.

First stop: the zoo. Sherri and I freaked ourselved out over this snake that appeared to be coming OUT of the glass!
I'd be embarrassed by this photo if it weren't so funny!
We stopped at Ted Drewe's for some frozen custard - YUM!
We had great seats for both games
Checking out the arch
"Gateway to the West"
We didn't make it up to the top - the wait was too long and we'd miss the game.

Our view on Sunday - Albert Pujols up to bat
Jason outside the stadium
The best mullet I think I've ever seen. Business in the front...party in the back!!!

Another day at Wrigley...

I'm afraid my next few posts are going to be super-saturated with baseball pics. Be patient with me, I know I have a problem :) Yesterday we went to Wrigley in Chicago with our friends Jon and Kati for the Cubs vs. Cards game. Cubs KILLED 12-3! It was a great game. This weekend we are headed to St. Louis with Donnie and Sherri to catch two Cubs vs. Cards games at Busch Stadium. I'm always excited to visit a new ball park!

Morning Funnies

6:00 AM
Angie: (rolls over) What are you doing here?
Jason: I live here.
Angie: Oh. (rolls back over)

I guess this whole "husband thing" hasn't quite caught on for me yet!

LOL.

Proud Owners of...

Target and Best Buy were sold out, but we scored at Wal-Mart for our copy. They price-matched with the other stores so we got it for $32.99! Our favorites are "Phyllis's Wedding" and "Benihana Christmas"...this show is the funniest show on TV by far!

Labor Day Weekend

We spent this past Saturday at a Cubs game with our friends, Jo Witter and David Crabb. David worked re-e-e-ally hard at our wedding as the sound and A/V guy, and we felt like we did not reward him enough! So we decided to take him and his girlfriend, Jo, to a Cubs game.

We had dinner at the famous Giordano's
mmmmm...pizza, Chicago style! I was so bummed, we walked off and forgot our leftovers! grrrrr!

What's new with us?

NOTHING!
I was recently reprimanded for not posting a new blog...but we really are BORED around here! Our time is spent keeping our house clean...I'm sure others that have had their house on the market can relate! It's a full-time job in itself. This morning I left my coffee cup in the sink and I am feeling a bit guilty about it. We have a showing today at noon and what if they decide not to buy the house because of my dirty coffee cup?? We have had several showings, but no offers yet.

Jason is still working construction for Bryce Davis and working security at Emmaus on the weekends - a grand total of about 60 hours a week. He can't wait to get to Ohio and start a "normal" job. I am working at Emmaus and busy watching the first place Chicago Cubs lead the national league central division. We are heading to a game this weekend at Wrigley and I can't wait!

One of my bridesmaids, Kim Williams, and her mom Jeanne came to visit this weekend. We went shopping, shopping, and shopping and took breaks only to eat. We had so much fun! But I
have NO pictures to prove it.

That about sums it up
...so...what's new with YOU?

P.S. If you want to read something interesting, check out my brother Jeff's blog about his recent heroism on behalf of the Nebraska State Bank :)

Ohio News

We just signed a lease for a 2-bedroom apartment at Terraces on the Green. We are all about home ownership, but we are going to take our time looking for a house over the next year. Right now, our dream is to find a fixer-upper in a nice neighborhood, and add some "sweat equity." It's going to take time to find the perfect place. I also can't imagine buying a house long distance, so that's another reason we'd like to take our time. Terraces was one place we visited when Jason had his interview and I was very impressed. The rest of the places we looked at, for the same amount of money, were pretty dumpy - smelled of cigarette smoke and cats! EW. I think we are going to love it here! Here are a few pics:Yes, that would be a pool that you see. AND an exercise room. Plus 2 bathrooms - a luxury I've never had. I'm afraid I may get a wee spoiled!

So...who's going to be the first to visit?

Addie the Prophetess
