Weekend Update!

Well, it's been an eventful week in the Hubbard house. We've had car problems, minor surgery, identity theft, just to name a few...I'll spare you most of the details! I arrived back from Iowa on Tuesday; it was so great to see my husband again. Since then I've been trapped at home as my car is in the shop and is stuck there until Monday. That's probably a good thing because it keeps me away from the baby section at Target. We discovered some identity theft under Jason's social security number which will keep us entertained for a few months as we attempt to get the information off of his credit report. Sigh...what a headache!

Jason had minor surgery on Friday to remove a mass growing on his side. The surgeon is almost positive that it is non-cancerous and just fatty tissue, but he will send it off to the lab to be sure. He has a three inch incision on his side and quite a few stitches inside and out. I went with him and fully intended on staying through the procedure, but as soon as I saw the scalpel in the exam room, I hit the door and instead enjoyed the waiting room's selection of magazines. He's been a bit sore and even spiked a bit of a fever yesterday, but for the most part he's been on the mend. I was going to take a picture of the incision, but it's too gross...I couldn't do it! WARNING for those of you with weak stomachs...don't read further...Jason said the tumor looked like orange-y colored chicken fat! EWWWWWWW!

Saturday Jason decided he wanted to get out, so we found a walking trail in a park nearby our house. The trail winds right next to the Cuyahoga River and provided some great scenery. I managed to roll my ankle only once - miracle, since that happens to me often. I inherited my mom's gift of walking (family joke). After our walk we went to the grocery store and then grilled some burgers and watched the Indians game. I am suffering from the lack of Cubs games that are on TV in this area, and the Indians are doing nothing to win me over since they completely stink right now.

Today we were LAZY...we both took naps and lamented the fact that our days of naps are coming to a close, so we'd better enjoy them while we can. After that conversation, I fell asleep again. Wish me luck getting some sleep tonight!

Here's a new belly pic - Brady is growing so much, he is kicking and moving all the time. I can tell when he wakes up because he kicks my bladder, and off to the bathroom I go. The belly is getting HUGE...I can no longer see my feet and my comfy old t-shirts don't even fit anymore! He seems to be sitting up pretty high.

Our baby item of the week is this baby bather - we have an oversized sink and it fits perfectly. It is only for babies up to six months, but until then I'm sure we'll get a lot of use out of this! The fabric is washable and it has adjustable heights.
One last thing, I really miss these girls! (And sister Gracie, too!)
