Early Update

I thought I'd post our update a bit early this weekend as this afternoon we are headed to see the Indians and Yankees game. That should be a blog in itself; we all know how seriously the Hubbards take baseball so I would not want to lump those pictures in with all the others!

We had a baby appointment on Friday - hard to believe we are 25 weeks along already! The midwife thinks I am measuring too far ahead (I am +6 cm and you are only supposed to be +2 cm at the most) and so she scheduled an ultrasound on May 9 just to see what is up with big ol' Brady. Jason is convinced he has a "huge noggin" like dad. Our midwife was not worried; thus, no hurry for the ultrasound.

Friday night we attended the Haven of Rest's 65th Anniversary banquet. Jason gave a brief version of his testimony during the program. I never get tired of hearing how the Lord changed his life. His story is amazing and he has a gift for speaking to crowds. (I may be biased, but it is still true!) Here he is at the podium; behind him is Rev. Curt and Eileen Thomas. (Eileen has brown hair and is on the left). Brady's middle name is after this special couple. They are Jason's spiritual parents and have provided much guidance for him over the years.Saturday was another lazy day, we are really cherishing our last few Saturdays before we are invaded by the little one. We went to the farmer's market and picked up some yummy fresh fruit and veggies (Pears and strawberries for me, asparagus and hot peppers for Jason!). We also caught a matinee of "Babymama" and it was hysterical. I literally was wiping tears away from laughing so hard. Jason enjoyed it, too! Several scenes rang true...especially when the pregnant woman is trying to swallow a gigantic pre-natal vitamin. That scene could have come right from our house because I whine like a child when I have to choke those down! Even if you aren't pregnant, I recommend going to see it. After the movie I took a nap and we watched the Indians game and grilled some burgers for supper. (Jason grills a mean burger...yummy!)
(Explanation of the mismatched bedding - our sheets were in the dryer so I plunked down on one of our nice pillows with my mom's quilt from the living room. I can't let you all think that this is how I decorate my bedroom!)

That brings us to today...I am really looking forward to my first live baseball game of the season. I have an Indians t-shirt that fits over my belly. I sure wish it was a Cubs game that we were going to see, but I'll get over it!! I'll post those pictures later this week!

Our baby item of the week is this monitor that we've had our eye on. I had a coupon for Babies R Us so we got it at a decent price and have already tried it out. I think it will work as a husband caller until the baby comes. I can just lay in bed and grab the monitor whenever I need something...like Oreos or a foot massage. That should work, right?

I agree with you Angie, that Jason has a gift speaking before a crowd of people. I have mentioned this to several at the H. R.

I was looking for a "mean" burger picture.

Jason's comment is hilarious!

Steve says our household runs on the motto, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy," and that has certainly worked well for us.

Mmmmm, nothing like an afternoon nap but even better is going to bed on clean bedding. Agh! The simple things!
Miss you!

Hey Ange -Sounds like another awesome weekend for you guys. I know I've said this before -but I'm so impressed with your organized "get ready for baby" skills. You will have to come up here for a week to help me :0)
