Typical weekday in Angie-land

  • Get up with Jason (around 7:00) eat breakfast, drink some coffee, lose my troll voice
  • Clock in and work for a few hours as soon as he leaves (around 7:30)
  • Take a break and throw in some laundry, clean something, cook something, etc
  • Clock in for an hour or so
  • Break for lunch - do some reading
  • Go to fitness room and work out for 30 mins (or walk outside if it is nice)
  • Shower and get dressed (lose my troll look)
  • Clock in for a couple hours
  • Break and run errands if needed (Target is pretty much the only place I go!)
  • Finish up dinner, cleaning, laundry, etc.
  • Clock in again until Jason gets home
This is a typical day - but every day has many exceptions. I'm finding that my days take shape on their own. A major benefit of working from home is setting your own hours. Sometimes I work in the evenings or clock in on the weekends, too - whatever is needed! And, I confess, I do stay in my pajamas until at least noon. It's shameful, really. When I eat lunch, I just use my clothes as a napkin - nobody is here to see me, so what does it matter? :)

And some days, I don't wake up with Jason. Of course, that is his fault for letting me sleep...

Use your clothes as a napkin... I totally do that if I'm going to change them shortly. Usually my undershirt, as those are the easiest to clean.

Angie, you have it SO GOOD! Do you know how much I WANT to work from home and can't find a job doing it? What a blessing it is for you to be able to do this... although I have to say, double yuk to not showering until noon! I have to be up, dressed, make-up on before my kids leave for school at 8:40!! Or maybe I'm just insane (yeah, that's probably it!)

Looking forward to the 7th!!

Angie, you have uncovered the secret of working from home! I LOVE walking across the hall to my "office" and I've been known to wear my PJ's all day! Don will come home from work and ask, "are you going to shower today?" I don't know what he's trying to tell me.....
Have a great week!

that's cool, but i don't know if i could discipline myself enough to stick with it when there are so many distractions. you are super cool for being able to do that.

Angie,
I am glad to hear that other people enjoy being in their p. j's all day if they don't have to go any place. I enjoy that, too. I even go to the mail box in my
p. j's. Usually wait until it is dark. ha. But who cares.
So good to see you at the H. R. last week, or whenever it was. Good to have Jason back at the
H. R. He is a good door opener. He can tell you about that.
