Weekend Update

Yes! It's a weekend update!

We had a great weekend spending time outside. Brady is truly happy being outdoors and the weather has been perfect. We are trying to find more things to do outdoors and just enjoy our yard, and the park down the street. We love to eat on the picnic table (my mother's day gift), and we wheel Brady right out in his highchair so he can join us. We also love to bring toys outside and sit on a blanket. Brady stays on the blanket to play since he doesn't like the grass. I should clarify; he doesn't like crawling on the grass, but he does love to eat the grass.

Saturday morning we took Brady for his second trip to the zoo. We made our first trip last weekend but someone forgot the camera (ahem, it was me). We ended up buying a zoo membership which means we can go anytime for free; the membership was cheap and is a great family activity. The zoo was swarming with stollers and kids. It was fun for Brady to watch everything going on. We packed a lunch and made it home in time for naps.

The only bummer of this weekend was on Saturday night when Brady woke up with a high fever. He had a rough night and his fever was still up in the morning, so we stayed home from church and kept up on the Motrin. He seems to be back to normal now. I am wondering if we overdid it in the sun at the zoo.

Tonight we shared supper on the picnic table and then got out the bubbles. I think Jason and I had more fun than Brady. He was a little confused and didn't really appreciate the bubbles popping in his face. We gave the sticky boy a bath and plopped him in bed and haven't heard a peep since then.

In between all the fun, we got lots of laundry and house projects done. Our bathroom remodel is almost done, with the exception of the walls. We are probably going to have to re-texture the walls before we paint. When the bathroom is done, I'll post pics!

A great weekend all around. :)
