Greetings from Crabby Baby-Land

Apparently Jason and I have offended Brady deeply. He wants nothing to do with us. We can't look at him. We can't talk to him. We can, however, prop him in front of the TV with "Ice Age" in the DVD player (no educational value, but highly entertaining) while we play Scrabble and eat hummus and pasta fagioli in the dining room. Parents of the Year, yes, we know.

I think his teeth are about to finally pop through. Jason thinks he is punishing us for leaving him and going on a date the other night. But what a wonderful date it was. Brady played over at Jim and Ashley's house while we finished up our Christmas shopping, had a quick dinner at Chick-Fil-A, and went to a dollar movie complete with popcorn, milk duds, peanut M&Ms, and coke.

We also entertained ourselves this weekend with a drive around the rich neighborhoods to look at their professionally displayed Christmas lights while drinking McDonalds coffee and listening to a screaming baby. Life on a budget can be tough. We consoled ourselves by wondering how many of the massive houses were in pre-foreclosure.

And now, tomorrow is Monday. But Christmas is only 10 days away! We can't wait to pack up the car and head to Iowa.

And here are some photos from happier days...

I think he heard all those "girly" comments about the leg warmers...since then he's been trying to pull them off his legs in an effort to defend his manhood.
His three favorite fingers
...hmmm...I think I'll call Grandma...
Helloooooooooo!
I never posted a picture of our tree, and it includes a bonus shot of about 1/10th of our living room and the partially decorated wall...OOPS that is a Christmas present hanging over the couch...let's hope cousin Gracie doesn't check our blog!

I'm with you, Angie. Since DAVE came into our lives, I'm always yelling at people in fancy schmancy cars... "Hope you're enjoying your debt-FULL lifestyle!" My husband's had about enough of me. Keep on it, Girl! Feels good to pay cash for Christmas, I'll say that :o)
