Little Diddies (Weekend Update)

  • Brady is smiling, cooing, and talking all the time. To us and anyone around us, including the lady in the checkout line at Target.
  • We can't believe how much he is growing. His little dainty newborn fingers are now chubby little fists. He has more than one chin and fat rolls are multiplying. Hmmm...does he get those rolls from mommy or daddy? (That was a hypothetical question. Please don't give us an answer)
  • Stubborn Brady does not like to go down at night. What he does not realize is that his parents invented stubbornness. Slowly but surely we are winning the battle. When he finally goes down, he sleeps about 7 hours.
  • I postponed Brady's two month appointment because I'm just not ready for him to get his first shots yet. Okay, that's not the only reason. We've refused the Hep B shot so he hasn't had any vaccines as of yet. I've been reading The Vaccine Book by Dr. Robert Sears and we have decided to follow the delayed vaccination schedule that Dr. Sears recommends. We are not getting the rotavirus, chicken pox, or the hep B vaccinations, but the rest he will get in time. Who knew that vaccinating was such a hot topic for parents today? I am glad we did our own research and confident in our decision. Our pediatrician is on board with our decision as well, which is a relief. She actually recommended the book to us. Brady's first round will come later on this month. After reading my friend Jen's post about her son's shots, I'm not sure I'll ever be ready!
  • We went to a Parade of Homes on Saturday. We saw how the other half lives. I found a perfect paint color for our kitchen and bathroom. I am so glad these people paid out the nose for a fancy interior designer so I could just swoop in and steal her ideas.
  • We close on the house this coming Friday. Still haven't packed a thing.
  • The house is being measured for carpet tomorrow, then we have to finalize our color decision and get the carpet ordered so it can be installed before we move. Hmmm...shall we go with dark beige, light beige, beige with dark and light beige flecks, or just plain beige?
  • A long, huge, and heavy wooden bench tipped over and landed on my foot this weekend. I know, kind of random. I have a cool bruise.
  • The stupid Cubs lost.
And now on to the pictures...

Snuggling in with mommy after a feeding.
Watching football with dad.
Showing off his wing span. He seriously slept like this for quite awhile!
None of these are as cute as the diaper and socks combination, so keep scrolling down for some serious cuteness!

I don't know, it's a tough competition between diapers and socks or little man jeans. Both are too cute!
