Weekend Update...

Brought to you in bullets...
  • We are officially house hunting. As soon as Brady has had his dinner, most nights we strap him in his seat and drive around looking for houses. Our realtor is back from vacation so we are hoping to get inside a few houses this week. We have a list of addresses that we want to check out. (Did you know that house hunting is waaaay more fun when you are drinking a pumpkin spice latte?)
  • We went on our first date since Brady was born. Friday night (his six week birthday) we dropped him off at Jim and Ashley's house to play while we went to Starbucks, Target, and a movie. (Did you know that a dropping your son off at a babysitter is waaaay more relaxing when you are drinking a pumpkin spice latte?)
  • After our hot date on Friday night, we spent most of Saturday attempting to end Brady's poop strike. He decided not to poop for six days straight until we met his demands. Apparently his demands were a warm bath, watered down pear juice, and a lovely glycerin suppository. All of which ended in a poop-tastrophe on Sunday afternoon. (Um, nobody warned me about the lengths I would go to make my son poop and nobody offered to get me a pumpkin spice latte so I could recover.)
  • Tomorrow my friend Kimmie is coming and staying for two nights on her way back to Minneapolis from Pennsylvania. Brady can't wait to meet Aunt Kimmie! (Hey Kim, wanna go to Starbucks?)
  • That about wraps it up. Life at the Hubbies is all about Brady. And houses. And pooping. And lattes!
This is a shameless attempt by Brady to get his Uncle Jeff Jeff to comment on mommy's blog again.
This is what Brady plans to wear to his Chippendales audition.
Mommy, could you please not bother us while we are cooking?
Brady has discovered his tongue and is not sure what to do with it.
Blahhhhh

And I've never had me a pumpkin spiced latte ... but I agree ... having a Starbucks in hand makes everything more fun!

Great post Ange -mmmmm, I would LOVE a pumpkin spice latte. Poor small town girl won't get one until I go to the BIG city to visit Papa and Grandma in a couple of weeks...Brady is adorable! Glad he had his poo!!!

If I liked pumpkin spice flavoring, I would be all about a latte! And poop strikes are scary! Celia's doctor told us not to worry until it had been at least 10 days!!! On day 7 she gave us a nice present and I needed 2 lattes! :) Brady is such a cutie! Glad to hear you went on a date, too! I bet it was nice...

Love your post! Hey, didn't a night out with your hubby at Target seem luxurious? That is one of our favorite things to do that we miss since becoming parents. =)
About the non-pooping thing, someone on EBC told me to put baking soda in the bath. That seems to work for us. I think it was Michelle B. who told me and she said you can never put in too much, too.
