Weekend Update

Happy Labor Day, everyone! It's officially the end of summer...at least that's what Labor Day always meant to me. Jason finds himself laboring today so Brady and I are hanging out. We are hoping to make it to the grocery store today and do a little Emmaus work but that's about the extent of our plans.

Our weekend was pretty lazy. Brady was a good boy and slept a lot so we both got naps in on Saturday and Sunday. The only difference is now we take our naps in shifts, not at the same time! I am still anxiously awaiting the time when Brady will surprise us and sleep through the night, but I am usually only up once in the night and then Jason still takes the early morning feeding since he's up getting ready for work anyways. It's a great time for them to bond over a bottle and Sportscenter.

We have officially started the process of looking for a house. We met with a mortgage guy on Saturday and took Brady to his first babysitter, a family friend. I did not cry when we dropped him off but I sure missed him! We will see where this process takes us - as of now we are pretty optimistic!

Last night we went out for ice cream with some friends from church, and like a rookie mom I walked off and left the diaper bag sitting at our friends' house. Brady was a good boy and slept in his car seat the entire time so my mistake was not so bad.

Brady's insurance card came in the mail this weekend. For some reason I thought that was just adorable. It has his name on it and everything. I'm going to put it in his wallet along with his social security card and let him try to stuff it in the pocket of his 0-3 month jeans. (EBC people, can you say Doc Fish? HA!)

It is hard for us to believe that Brady is one month old already. We survived!

Enough chatter, on to the pictures!

I still love my bumbo! It makes me feel like a big boy.
