This is Angie blogging again and I just want to say THANK YOU for your prayers. I truly felt them as I felt immediately better after Jason posted a request for prayer. Today has been a different day; I am feeling "normal" again and finally able to enjoy my new little man. He is truly a gift from God and we are beyond ourselves with joy and thankfulness. Our naughty little boy has been forgiven and we are reconsidering our application to military school :).
Yesterday was truly the best and worst day of my life; let's just say that nothing went how I pictured it would. I pictured a trying, painful delivery followed by pure bliss as I basked in the arrival of my son - ah, the expectations of a first time mom! Instead it was a smooth, pain-free delivery (hallelujah epidural!) followed by "chinese water torture" (my husband's description) and intense pain soon after. I was unable to hold Brady until he was quite a few hours old and my body didn't have the strength to nurse him. My blood pressure problems caused a lot of the clotting and the ruptured placenta added to the blood loss. I was sick to my stomach and couldn't get out of bed or even sit up. There are more details but you probably don't need or want them :) Finally things got back to normal late last night and I was moved out of my labor and delivery room to a room on the post-partum floor. Today has been a brand new day! Who knew that a shower could feel so good :) I get to go home tomorrow and I can't wait.
Here are a few more pictures; going backwards a bit and catching up to today including photos of all of Brady's admirers/visitors!
