Announcement...

We are moving!

Jason has accepted the position of assistant chaplain at Haven of Rest Rescue Mission in Akron, Ohio. My last day at Emmaus will be October 26, and we will make the trek across a couple states to begin life in Akron. Jason starts his job on November 1. We are excited (and only a little bit scared) at the huge changes that are in store for us. We would appreciate your prayers as we sell our home and take care of several moving details. I will also be looking for full-time work in the area.

So...this will be a big adjustment for me as I have lived in Dubuque for 10 years (and have always lived in Iowa)! The decision to move was a difficult one, but we are confident that Akron is where the Lord wants us to serve. Those of you who know Jason's testimony know why Haven of Rest is so dear to us. Jason is thrilled to be returning to his "spiritual home" to serve Him!

And on a side note...we are moving to Indians and Reds turf (we will actually live about 45 minutes from Cleveland)...but I will NEVER falter in my devotion to the Cubs! :)

Oh, Angie! I'm sure that you are both excited and apprehensive! I sure hope we can get together before your big move! But, at least it will be a great excuse to get to OH. Good luck and I'll continue to keep you both in my prayers. Jen

Congrats to Jason on the job! What a blessing! And I am sure it is a little bit scary, but living in different parts of the world is good for you (believe me, I know!)! :) Good luck to you both and keep in touch with me! :)

Angie, best of luck. I have lived in Ohio most of my life and love it (most days). I will pray for you both and that your move will go smoothly and you will find a job soon. Akron is a great area and lots to do. Welcome to Buckeye Country!

I am behind on your website. I just read that you are coming to the Akron area. That is news to me, but wonderful. Maybe it is a surprise to the Haven Board?????
I hadn't heard anything about it.
Will be glad to have you here.
