Here's the whole story for those of you who love details:
Jason and I had the weekend planned in Chicago with Donnie and Sherri Patten. The four of us planned to attend two Cubs/Cards games and shop and eat and just enjoy the city. Jason has been spending the summer working in Akron, Ohio, so we picked him up at O'Hare on Friday night. We had decided that we would eat dinner near Michigan avenue at a steakhouse that Donnie had heard about. So we were driving downtown admiring the view when Donnie whips the car over in front of the Hancock Building and Jason is suddenly pulling me out of the car while Donnie and Sherri take off without us. I was totally surprised and wondering what the heck was going on. He takes me inside and I find out that we had dinner reservations at The Signature Room which is on the 95th floor of the Hancock Building. We had a great view of Chicago at night and the food was delicious. Afterwards, Jason took me on a carriage ride down Michigan Avenue. The carriage stopped at a little gazebo and it was there that he got on one knee and asked me to marry him. I said YES. Jason went all out to make this special and I am without a doubt the luckiest girl alive :)
The second best part of the weekend was that the CUBS SWEPT THE CARDINALS! YEAH!
